A glimpse at the latest Cheese & Cracker Party at our house...
When I was younger my family had a tradition for Sunday nights, we would watch "America's Funniest Home Videos" and eat in the living room. It started out with just different kinds of cheese, crackers, sausage or deer sticks, and occasionally apples and dip. I recently decided to bring the tradition back with our family. The kids look forward to it and a little part of me does too!

Happy May Day!!!

It is the small holiday traditions that I will always remember from my childhood. Every "May Day" my mom would help us make the same carmel corn filled, twizzler handled baskets to deliver to friends and family. Now that I have my own kids, I have continued the tradition with them. It is these small things that I love to do with them.

This year though I learned that the original tradition behind "May Day Baskets" was that you rang on the recipients door and then ran. The recipient would then chase after you in hopes of catching and kissing you. I can safely say that I have never taken part in this tradition, but I am thinking of trying to get my kids to do it next year.
